Logo: The green color in the Jababeka logo reflects the lush green surroundings of our estates. The three palm leaves refers to the gentle strength of nature, the number three – in Chinese Indonesian belief – represents growth, and the oval shape of the ogo symbolizes perfection.
Core Business: Jababeka’s core business activity is to expand, integrate and create a demand for a full range of industrial , residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.
PT Jababeka Tbk was established in 1989 and is the first publicly listed industrial estate developer in Indonesia, being listed on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchange since 1994.
The Company’s flagship development is the 5,600 hectare fully integrated township, Kota Jababeka in Cikarang, now home to more than 1 million inhabitants. The township is strategically located and easily accessible by toll road and railway system. Kota Jababeka lies 35 kilometer east of Jakarta’s Central Business District, 55 kilometer from Tanjung Priok International Seaport and 65 kilometer from Soekarno Hatta International Airport. In addition, the Company owns 1,000 hectare of industrial land in Cilegon, Banten, 85 kilometers west of Jakarta and more than 6,000 square meter of office space in Menara Batavia, Central Jakarta.
The Company’s business strategy is establishing a business that creates the critical mass for other businesses. With this strategy in mind, Jababeka started its business by developing the industrial estate which is now home to more than 1,400 local and multinational companies, such as Unilever, Samsung and Mattel, employing over 600,000 workers which are the customers of the residential and commercial estates.
The Company’s core business can be divided into five segments, namely (1) industrial, (2) residential, (3) commercial, (4) infrastructure services, (5) education. (6) Energy and (7) Support & leisure facilities. These segments are inter-related and support each other in providing services to investors, buyers and customers.
1. Industry
The Company provides a wide range of industrial products, which are suitable for large multinational companies, local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and everything in between. The Company’s competitive advantage is its ability to provide comprehensive industrial development solutions through one-stop-service and offers, among others, industrial land and ready-to-use factory buildings that perfectly fit the needs of any industry. The Company caters to light and medium industries in Kota Jababeka and medium to heavy industries in Cilegon.
2. Residential
The Company offers various types of residential products that cater to all social strata. The housing units are constructed in clusters and are developed according to market demand aimed at both the individual and corporate segments. In addition, large plots of land can be sold to investors, in particular with regards to the Educational Park and the newly launched Medical City and Indonesia Movieland projects.
3. Commercial
Commercial products include commercial plots of land in Kota Jabebeka, as well as shophouses. Apart from that, the Company also offers office and commercial space for rent, both in Menara Batavia and throughout Kota Jababeka and owns a private club – the President Executive Club which is used as a meeting point for tenants in Kota Jababeka. Moreover, the Company invites investors as partners in the development of commercial and business areas.
4. Infrastructure
The Company’s infrastructure mangement operates the clean water and waste water treatment plants and deals with estate management. Furthermore, general services and maintenance of basic infrastructures and facilities, roads, landscape and public street lightings are part of the Company’s infrastructure services, as well as a fire brigade and 24-hour security. The Company’s infrastructure services has been further complemented by a power plant, managed and operated by PT Bekasi Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
5. Golf
The Company owns and manages the Jababeka’s Golf and Country Club, which contains an 18-hole golf course designed by world golf-champion Nick Faldo, a club house, a driving range, a pro-shop, an international restaurant and a spa. The Company also operates the Borobudur International Golf and Country Club in Magelang, east Java. In addition to offering normal memberships, tournaments and other events are organized at both golf courses.
